MOM’s expands with NJ location
Listen to this articleRockville-based MOM’s Organic Market is expanding its operations to New Jersey with the opening of a new location in Cherry Hill during a grand opening celebration Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The Cherry Hill location will be the family owned and operated grocer’s 16th store and first in New Jersey. It operates eight locations in Maryland as well as five in Virginia and one each in Pennsylvania and the District of Columbia.
“We love the Philly region and can’t wait to open MOM’s Cherry Hill, our second store in the area,” CEO/Founder Scott Nash said. MOM’s Pennsylvania location is in Bryn Mawr, approximately 20 miles from Cherry Hill.
The grand opening event will feature live music from Philadelphia musician Marc Silver on Saturday and Sunday afternoon, meet-and-greets with environmental organizations such as the New Jersey Agricultural Society, Clean Air Council, Philadelphia Orchard Project and the NJ Aquarium’s Center for Aquatic Sciences. There will also be local tastings, kids’ activities, henna art, a raffle, giveaways and much more.
Nash said 5 percent of sales from the Cherry Hill grand opening will be donated to Sustainable Cherry Hill, an organization working to educate, engage, and inspire people to create a more sustainable South Jersey community.
